The new Bank Orange Mobile App provides a secure and convenient way to bank, 24/7.

Designed to be easy-to-use and light on your mobile data plan, the Bank Orange Mobile App is available for Android and iPhone.

About the app

The app allows you to complete everyday banking functions on your mobile phone, this ranges from making payments to accessing funds and applying for services.

The app will work on Android devices (version 4.1 and above) and iOS devices (iOS 7 and above). Mobile phones using a Windows operating system will not be able to use our App.

The app is free to download at the Google Play or Apple App Store The app does use a small amount of data, so data usage charges may apply from your mobile network provider.

Using the app

The app allows you to complete your everyday essential banking functions on your mobile phone. You can view transaction details and check account balances, transfer funds between your own accounts or to someone else's account, view products and news, establish a savings goal, and pay bills via BPAY, including setting up new billers.

Getting started

You can download the app by searching the Google Play (Android) or App Store (Apple) or just use the buttons at the bottom of the page to navigate to the relevant store page.

You will need to be registered for Internet Banking before being able to use the Bank Orange banking app. You will need to know your Member Number / Internet Banking username as well as your Internet Banking password.

If you have not registered for Internet Banking, please register here.

When you first download the app, please press on Account Balances to register. Please log in your Internet Banking username/Member Number and Internet Banking password. You will then be asked to create a PIN or pattern. Your PIN or pattern must be a minimum of 4 digits long.

Once you’ve entered these details and created the PIN or pattern, the app will be ready to use. Note: you will only need to enter your PIN or pattern for future use of the app.

Your PIN or pattern is chosen by you when you register the Mobile app and gain entry to access its secure features for the first time. Your card PIN is for use on your Visa Debit card.

For your security, we recommend that you choose a Mobile App PIN or pattern that’s different to your card access PIN. And like your PIN, you should keep your Mobile App PIN or pattern confidential.

The app will need an internet connection to register, retrieve your latest balances and transaction details and perform payment and functions.

App security

The Bank Orange app requires a PIN, pattern or biometics (fingerprint) to access account details. If you lose your phone you should contact Bank Orange as soon as possible. We will remove your Internet Banking log in details which will prevent App log in.

You will have three (3) attempts to enter the correct PIN or pattern when accessing the Bank Orange banking app. After three (3) unsuccessful attempts your app will go into a deregistered state. You will need to re-register the app using your Internet Banking username and Internet Banking password, and set a PIN, pattern or biometric as per the normal registration process.

If you cannot remember your PIN or pattern, you will need to deregister the app via the forgot log in option. This option will be visible on the screen where you normally enter your PIN or pattern. Follow the prompts to re-register your App.

Always:

  • Memorise your PIN or pattern as soon as possible
  • Use a number that is not obvious or can't be easily guessed. Don't use your date of birth or driver's licence number
  • Take precautions when using Mobile Banking and Payments app - don't let anyone watch you enter your PIN or pattern

You should never:

  • Tell or let anyone find out your PIN or pattern - not even family or friends
  • Record a PIN or pattern on your device or computer
  • Keep a record of the PIN or pattern with your device

As with all personal belongings, take extra care to keep your phone secure and safe. There are a few things that you can do:

  • Use a strong screen lock or PIN that cannot be easily guessed
  • Keep your phone locked when you're not using it
  • Update phone operating systems as soon as updates are available
  • If possible, only use secure Wi-Fi networks
  • Ensure your phone is registered with your phone network provider
